Ability of EnvisaLink 2DS to store events when network down?

When network access is down, is the EnvisaLink 2DS supposed to store events which occur during that period, and then send them when the network connection is up? My EnvisaLink 3 does this, but my older 2DS does not, and I wondered if this behavior is due to inherent limits and capabilites of the two devices, or a failure on my part to set something up correctly. Thanks.

No, both devices have the same event buffer depth. The Envisalink has a "wider" buffer to accomodate Contact ID events.
