I mean, what's wrong other than the fact that I'm a real newbie in electronics.
Okay, I've got a DSC system and have been trying to get connected to my envisalink account. So far I've created an account, logged in, registered my module including MAC ID #, created a friendly name, set my location, created my mobile portal link and set up and verified my contacts, both email and SMS, all as suggested in the primer you guys at EyezOn have suggested. The problem is that when I go to my account page (the one with the little white, red-roofed house), all it says is "data not available" and nothing under status. I've tried setting my alarm system off and, although the alarm sounds, no email or text messages are sent to my cell phone. What's wrong here and how can I fix it? All help very much appreciated.

Your module isn't communicating with the Eyezon servers. You need to follow the QuickStart manual that came with the module. You need to have all the LEDs on the board in the correct state and be able to log into the module locally.
