Have to Reboot After Triggering Alarm to Resume Alerts

I recently installed an EVL3 and things seem to be working correctly with the exception of alerts following an alarm being triggered. I've tested the system a few times, and the first time I trigger an alarm I receive an alert, but after that I don't receive any alerts (zone followers don't show up in the portal either) until I power down the whole system and restart. I do make sure to acknowledge the alarm on the keypad each time as well. I'm new to envisalink and alarm systems in general, so any comments/ideas would be much appreciated.

questions first ....
Which panel are you using ? IF it s DSC i can suggest:
Checking the keypad ( LCD version) pressing * 6 Master code and with the arrow scroll to the section that says " Event Buffer"
This has toggle options using the * key which show Time, Event Type and Restoral
by the sound of things you are experiencing what we refer to as a Swinger shutdown on the zones.
This can be programmed for not activating as well as a longer count of zone triggers they are also reset at 12am evrey morning if the system is still had not been disarmed as yet

Thanks for the response Robin. I should have mentioned before - I have a Vista 20P panel.

Vista's require you to acknowledge the alarm twice (user code + 1). Otherwise it just sits in the opening-after-alarm state and you won't get zone followers.

Does that mean I need to enter my code + 1 three times while an alarm is in process? Once to turn it off, then twice to acknowledge it? That would be my problem if so. I only entered it once to turn it off, then once to acknowledge it and clear it from the keypad screen.

No, it is just twice. Once to disarm, and once to clear the alarm.
