Can't connect EVL-3 as second keyboard

I am trying to activate the EVL-3 as the second keypad on my Vista 20P. Using the default address of 18. I went to the programmer code *191 and the display said "Keyboard Addr: 18" with "191" in the lower right corner. When I press star to advance, it just takes me back to the "Field?" prompt. I tried lots of different entries to try to get the partition code and sound code to appear, but no luck. My guess is the 20P is not seeing the EVL-3 at address 18, thus it is not allowing any change of parameters. I have double checked the wiring. The wires connect to the same terminals on the 20P as the keyboard.
I do see the EVL-3 on the web, but I get a message that it is not communicating with the servers. Any ideas on how to get this working would be appreciated.
Also, I thought I might try to change the EVL-3 address to 17 just for kicks to see if it helps. The primer makes it sound like its obvious where you change it, but I sure cant find it.
Thank you.

To change the keypad address on the EVL3 you must access the "local page" of the device.
If you know the IP address that was assigned by your router just enter that in a browser. Instructions in the quick start guide also say you can just enter the word Envisalink in your browser and it should come up. I use an iPad so that option doesn't work.
You will get a logon screen and enter"user" and "user" sot user name and password and you should get the screen below where you can select another keypad address.

When programming the 20P *191 for keypad 18 after entering installer code, then 800 enter *191 then you should enter 1,0 You should then get a beep confirmation.
You can check if the entries took by entering #191 (POUND 191) and the display should first display "1" then "0"
The 1 selects partition 1
The 0 selects no sound suppression
Exit programming mode by entering *99
This assumes you only have a single partition.

If your module isn't communicating with the servers then you won't see the Honeywell firmware screen shown by Flyct as the module ships with DSC firmware.
You need to get your module online first. Follow the FAQ pages for more information.

Well, I had a digit error in my MAC address and it now communicates with the server. But I still can't set up the keypad. The webpage on the EVL-3 looks great, now says it's a Honeywell instead of a DSC. BUT, when I enter the address code *191 on the keyboard, I get "Keyboard Addr: 18" with "191" in the lower corner. If I press "*" it returns to field. If I press "1" the "191" changes to "01" and then if I press "*" it returns to "FIELD?". If I press "10", the "191" changes to "10", then immediately changes to "00" and it dings at me, then changes to "Keyboard Addr: 19" with 192 in the lower corner.

To program keypad 18 on vista 20p
Enter
[Installer code]
[8 0 0] keypad should show "Installer Code 20"
Enter
[* 1 9 1] (display should show "keypad Addr.18" with "191" in lower right)
Enter
[1] (keypad should show "01" in lower right)
Enter
[0] keypad should show a quick 00, ding 3 quick times and then display "Keypad Addr.19" with "192" flashing lower right)
That should have programed address 18 in *191 and moved you to the next keypad address 192 to program it if you want. To verify keypad address 18 is active in 191, then enter [#191] and you should get 01 then 00. That confirms the keypad is programed to 1,0.
Enter
[ *99 ] to exit programing and you should be set
