EVL-3EZ doesn't work

Hello,
I connected my EVL-3EZ to my DSC 832 (Power Series 5010) with a 22-4 wire. I unplugged the panel as well as the back-up battery, connected the wires, and turned the system back on. (I am planning on using a wireless repeater to connect the internet, once I figure out how to configure my TP Link.) But when I turned the power back on, the module doesn't light up and my alarm keeps beeping with the trouble light on. I need help. What did I do wrong? I double checked the wires to make sure they are lined up correctly and snug.
