Foscam fi9821w support if supporting MPEG or JPEG only

I would like to buy my first camera. I prefer to get a newer model that is 720p. I've already searched and read that H.264 cameras are not supported yet.

However, I was wondering if this foscam camera can be configured to not send H.264 video and support what Eyez-on would allow (MPEG, JPEG...) that way I don't need to buy a new camera and if one day Eyez-on does support high-res cameras, I can simply switch the high-res on.
