Brand new EV3 and I have no link light when I plug in the cable. I tested the cable with laptop and it works fine, so now what? Anybody have any ideas what I am doing wrong? The Key b and OPER light both are flashing. No act and no link lights.

No link LED means you have no network connectivity. If the cable is OK then it may be the router/switch. Try it with another device and see if you can get the link LED to come on.

The Envisalink is a 10BaseT device and may not always be supported by faster (gigabit Ethernet) devices.

Router is working just fine, it lights up when any other device is plugged into it. Shouldn't the the link light come on whenever it's plugged into the router even if it's 10base? All other devices light up both on the router and on the device.

Yes, it should illuminate on both the router and the Envisalink. Submit a support ticket and we can help you there.

Ok, so I picked up a new EV3 module and installed it and I'm having the same issue as before. When I cycle the red wire the link light will come on for about a half a second and then go out. I'm starting to think the keybus panel is not providing enough power to the module, but the Keyb and Oper lights are flashing like normal. I have two keypads already installed on the pc1832 so could this be the problem?

It issue seems to be with your router. Just because other devices work with your router doesn't mean its not the culprit. Try a intermediary switch or another router to test this theory.

Resurrecting this old thread with the solution that worked for me.

I've had the same issue with the EnvisaLink 4. I've checked everything and there seemed to be no culprit. Finally, I tried swapping out my Cat6 cable for a Cat5/5e. That did the trick.

Edit: it's worth mentioning that the Cat6 cable was perfectly fine as well.
