Hello,
I have a DSC 1616 and I want to be able to use a Linux terminal to automatically check the armed status of the system every morning. I plan on writing a simple script that will run at 6:50AM every morning and if the status of the panel is not disarmed, the script will send out a series of emails.
I know how to write simple Linux bash scripts. What I don't know is how I can access the EnvisaLink module. I think that it has an onboard webserver so I can connect directly to it? Can you also arm/disarm the panel through the built in webserver? Is there an opensource project that will allow scriptable commands to be passed to the TPI?
TIA

Hi Carld,
I believe it is possible to auto arm/disarm the dsc panel as below. You can disarm at a specific time every morning.
http://www.alarmhow.net/manuals/DSC/Int ... arming.pdf
I receive an email and text message whenever I arm or disarm the Dsc panel either through my keyfob or the evl 3 web site. This can be setup through the evl 3 settings
Try it out. Since it is all built in it might save you some time
