Keypad [P]anic Alarm

Hi,

I'm looking for help in understanding what might have happened this morning. I'm asking in the forums, because I am not sure if this had to do with my EnvisaLink 3 or not. I have a DSC system (professionally installed) to help with notifying us if our autistic son leaves the house without our knowledge. I installed the EnvisaLink 3 quite a while back and it has been serving us well. In fact, when my wife calls me at work to let me know that he escaped through a window, but he is fine, I just respond, "I know" (Thank you EnvisaLink!). Note, the DSC system is not connected to a phone line or monitoring service. There is also a chiming alarm that notifies us if he leaves his bedroom through the door, which we arm at night.

This morning however something happened that has never happened previously. All the sirens and chimes went off at the same time. I'm fairly certain no smoke alarms were making noise. Our son was with me at the time, so I'm positive that he didn't touch the keypad or anything. My wife wasn't sure what tripped the alarm, but started disarming zones until it shut off. We always shut them off in the likely order that my son may have tripped something. Usually the first floor windows, then the second floor windows, etc. The exterior door have automatic magnetic locks and therefore do not set off the alarm. The alarm was silenced after she had entered the second set of disarm sequences.

Now here is the weird part...

I received these notifications on my phone/email and they also show up on the EYEZ-ON web portal in the recent activity section. I have never seen this message before, ever.

Notice that the alarm was triggered and restored in the same second. As far as I know the panic buttons on our keypad are not even enabled, and even if they were no one was near the keypad went the alarms went off. This raised a concern that perhaps a "panic mode" was somehow triggered remotely through the EnvisaLink 3. One other detail, which may or may not be relevant. We saw another message recently, perhaps a week ago, but not nearly as concerning as the panic alarm one, where the message indicated some kind of "swing down toggle thing" on the boy's bedroom door. I can't recall exactly and I have since lost the message. I did look it up and it seemed unusual, but not extraordinary. Also, the chime continued to work as expected.

Any thoughts or input on the panic alarm going off would be greatly appreciated, especially if I can rule out a remotely initiated one.

Thanks,
Ed

Submit a support request so we can look at your logs and tell you if the panic was triggered locally or remotely.

Ok, I will do that. I'll send an email to esupport@eyezon.com. Let me know if this is not correct.
