I am trying to uninstall the EnvisaLink3 from my DSC 1616 system. It was working perfectly, but we are moving and I will be taking it with me.
When I remove the 4 wires (R, B, G, Y) from the DSC panel, I get a trouble code (#5, zone fault) on the keypad that I cannot clear. Alarm company isn't helpful. If I reconnect the wires, no trouble code.
Since the EnvisaLink is a type of "keypad" I am wondering if the panel thinks a keypad is missing.
I'm thinking I need to de-activate the EnvisaLink from the DSC panel, but cannot find any documentation on how to do this.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,

Re: Physically removing EnvisaLink 3 from DSC 1616
Solved my problem. For those interested...the following worked:
I found the DSC "PC1616/PC1832/PC1864 STANDARD INSTALLATION GUIDE" online.
Under the Troubleshooting section, I found the following related to trouble code 5
"Modules are immediately enrolled and supervised when
detected on the KEYBUS. If a module has been removed, or
if the slot assignment of a keypad has been changed, module
supervision must be reset.
• View the event buffer (via DLS or LCD5500 keypad) to
identify the specific module(s) in trouble
• To reset module supervision:
• Enter Program Section [902].
• Press [#] (wait 1 minute for panel to scan KEYBUS).
• Enter Program Section [903] to identify modules
connected to KEYBUS.
I powered down my panel, removed the EnvisaLink again, powered it back up and then followed the above instructions.
Seems to have worked.
