IP100D Network/Internet Communication Question

Hello,

I currently own an old school IP100D device for my DSC panel and currently have it configured to send me emails and Alerts. My question is related to the communication pakets this device receives and sends over the Internet back to what I assume is an EYEZ-ON server somewhere.

I have a firewall (as most people do) and have been able to view the logs and follow the two way communication stream of packets via the UDP protocol Incoming from your servers to my device and vise versa. Can you tell me if there are any plans to utilize a more secure means of communication in the future (ie..SSL 443) between your systems and my device?

I am only partialy concerned at the moment as I have yet to find the time to sniff the packets and see what information can be seen in there but I wonder if any of it could be used by the "bad guys" in some way if the packets contain information regarding the GPS co-ordinates of my home, the ability to Disarm the Panel without my consent, my name, my address or any other info that may be found in our provided User Control Panel when logged into this website.

Thanks for your time and any info you can provide

Even the IP100D, the first generation Envisalink, uses AES128 which is most common symmetric cryptographic algorithms used by SSL. It is currently unbreakable and is the NIST recommended algorithm to at least 2030 based on current computing trends.

There is no way for a "bad guy" to gain access to your system or your information by looking at your packet traffic.
