EVL-3 - using without EYEZON servers?

Good day everybody. I purchased an EVL-3 to be used with my Vista 15P panel. I talked to EYEZON support about how the system operates, communicates with EYEZON servers, etc.
I've been wanting a solution to self-monitor my home, but I wanted something self-contained, that would not depend on external services. One reason is for privacy concerns, the other is because it guarantees that my system wil be functional in the future. (If you ever purchased the Honeywell expansion card that offered similar features, you surely nkow that they discontinued the email alerting system/server, and folks were left with a useles $250 card!)
Anyway, the reason I am posting is to probe whether anyone out there has found a workaround to NOT depend on EYEZON servers for monitoring? I would like to be able to:
1) Connect to the EYEZON remotely *directly* and determine status of zones.etc. (possible today with port forwarding?)
2) Use my own SMTP server of choice to send alarm notifications (much like any IP camera allows).
Thanks for any help!
