Honeywell Vista programming: Basement Watchdog Backup Sump

I know this is a bit off-topic, but I just installed an EnvisaLink and could use some assistance configuring my panel.
I've got a Vista 15p with two 4219's exp modules, and would like to add a new zone for my Basement Watchdog Backup Sump Pump. On the pump, I've got I've got terminals for normally-open or normally-closed wiring.
-What zone programming settings should I use? Same as a fire alarm?
-How do I configure it to be active regard of whether the system is armed or disarmed? (Is that function automatic with my sensor type choice?)
-Do I need an EOL resistor, what value? 1/4Watt?
-Wire it N.O. or N.C?
etc.
Thanks!
PS: I'm having another problem with my Envisalink (it reports everything but actual alarm events) but I'll save that post until I've done my due diligence)
