I have installed an Evisalink 3 in a Vista 20p panel with 16 zones. Because this is in a second home in a remote, very cold area, I also use land lines as a secondary back up. The module worked quite well for the first 3 months. Now I am getting frequent "off line" status reports. When I can get back up to the house, I shut down the panel (disconnect all power for 60 seconds) and the module comes back up and reads fine again, but this happens again a few days later when I am away. When the module IS on line it does everything I need it to do. It transmits signals properly to the central station.
I use this same module in 2 other locations on the exact same panels with no similar issues.
Any suggestions?

Re: Continued off line status issues
It could be a problem with your Router. Is the same Router being used at all three locations? Have you given the EnvisaLink 3 a Fixed IP Address at this "Troubled" location? I'm wondering if this issue is related to the half-duplex issue.
You should open a Trouble Ticket to see if Eyez-on can pinpoint your issue.

Re: Continued off line status issues
I had a similar issue at a second home remote location. It was either the cable modem or router that was causing the issue.
My "solution" was to set up a plug in power outlet timer that would shut down the power to both the router and modem 2 times a day for 1 minute each time. This rebooted the devices and brought them back online.
I would first set up the EVL3 to static IP.
