Hooking up Envisalink 3 to a Raspberry Pi 2 to Smartthings

I have a DSC 1864 and have installed the envisalink 3 on the panel and it works.

What I am looking for (being a noob), is a how-to guide for hooking the envl3 to a Pi (so that I can then hook it up with smartthings which is the ultimate goal here).

Can anyone help me with this?
