Bell Circuit Trouble Alarm

Does anyone know what this trouble alarm means?

Security Event: Bell Circuit Trouble Alarm
Location: Talbots
Time: 2015-08-06 08:53:19
Partition: 1

I received this today, but I'm still at work and haven't had a chance to go home yet. I checked my cameras (everything fine), checked dog (he is sleeping). I had a neighbor go over and mentioned they heard 2 alarm "beeps". I have two Wave2 sirens so I'm assuming something is going on with them.

The system has been working flawlessly for months so it's kind of odd I get that notification with no other signs of disturbance.

Thanks,
Joe

This alarm indicates that the panel is detecting an open or short circuit across the bell terminals.

Ok, thanks. Sounds like a wire must have gotten disconnected somehow....assuming the siren hasn't malfunctioned.

Guess I could have been less succinct...
Check the circuit associated with your Wave2 sirens.
Disconnect the Bell-/Bell+ wire leads and measure the resistance. An open circuit indicates a break in the wiring or bad siren/bell.
If you didn't receive a "Bell Circuit Trouble Restoral" then the issue persists and you should definitely look into the issue.

Good luck.

Thank you. I will disconnect and check the wiring as suggested.

I incorrectly received this instead of a E353 LRR TRANSMITTER FAULT.

That is not possible. The thread refers to a DSC SIA event and you are quoting a Honeywell (Ademco) ContactID event. They are not the same.

I'm sorry, I must have missed the DSC reference. How can I receive the following then with a Honeywell system?

Security Event: Bell Circuit Trouble Alarm
Location: My Home
Time: 2015-08-10 06:43:15
Partition: 0

My alarm company is reporting it as a trouble event from "zone E353 LRR TRANSMITTER FAUL"

Oh I see what you mean. The Envisalerts are based on SIA event codes so when ContactID is presented by Honeywell panels they are translated into the SIA equivalent. It is possible there is an error in the translation but we'll need more info.

Please submit a tech-support ticket and include the timestamp of the CID signal from your station.
