Hi,
Yesterday I installed the new EVL 4 to my DSC PowerSeries 832 (PC5010) and was wondering if I needed to re-enable supervision (section 902 or 903 - not sure) for my panel.
The system was cold started after installation and I saw that in the logs "supervision for PC5400" showed up.
So I guess the question remains, do I have to do anything in terms of supervision in programming?

Re: Supervision question
No, unlike Honeywell or GE systems, DSC systems enable supervision by default and you don't have to do anything.
902 just resets the list of supervised devices. You would use this if you removed a module from the system and wanted to get rid of the General Supervision Fault.

Re: Supervision question
ah, thanks for the answer. Very impressed with this product so far. My only problem is there isn't really any kind of encryption when using a third party app (I purchased allSecure and it does what is says) because most apps have a "remote" feature that require port forwarding. I know I can use the web mobile link but I personally prefer an app over it
I just wish EyezOn made a native app for all the major smart phone OS's instead of forcing us to use the mobile link.
