I'm currently purchasing the Envisalink4 to have improved self-monitoring and activation. However, I would like to maintain my current phone-line based central monitor (low cost) as my backup... I'll later decide how well this works and potential switch to more Eyez-on monitoring.

Will the Envisalink 4 interfere with my current phone-based central monitoring function?

On DSC systems the answer is 100% yes. On Honeywell it depends on the settings your monitoring company has programmed. On Honeywell systems if you want all the alerts, then they all must go to your monitoring station too. They may charge you extra fees for this.
