Hello all,
I have an envisalink 3 connected to a DCS panel.
This has been working for a year without problems connected by cat5 to a small pocket router that in terms connects to my main router by wifi. This worked flawlessly
I have since moved my DCS panel and now connect straight to the main router.
When I plug in the RJ45, there are no link lights that come on at all on the board (the power blinking red light and green light are on for the board, just no network lights).
I have tested the cable by plugging it from the router into another computer with excellent results and thus I don't think its a bad cable. In fact I tried several cables with no go on the envisalink
Do I need to reset the board somehow or is it just a toasted RJ45 connector and the board has to be replaced?
Thanks for your help

The EVL-3 only has a 10 mbps ethernet port, and some newer routers won't link up that low. You can try forcing the router port it's plugged into to 10 mbps if it has that option, otherwise you'll need to put a cheap 10/100 switch between the EVL and the router.
