Two EVL-4 Envislink 4 modules hooked to one Vista 20P ?

The Vista 20P handles multiple keypads, so can I install two EVL-4 modules to one Vista 20P panel?
The idea is for redundancy, to connect one to the cable internet, and connect the other one to a LTE wireless modem gateway.

Yes you can, unusual, but it can be done. Each Envisalink will have to have a separate keypad address and one of them must be put into LRR shadowing mode as the Vista will only allow one external communicator.

Thank you
What does one external communicator mean? That just one could hook to central station monitoring?
Will the second one still be able to send Envisalink texts and emails?
Thanks
Jeff

Honeywell panels only allow one external communicator on a panel but the Envisalink has a clever feature called "shadowing" which enables it to coexist with an existing communicator, or another Envisalink as per your requirement.

OK thank you. I will look to that as an upgrade project for later.

Looking in older posts, I see that GSM backup add-on to the EVL-4 was mentioned.
Is that still something that is coming? If so I will wait for that.
