My wireless motion sensor battery died so I replaced it but the zone "10 bat" message on the keypad (Honeywell 6150p) will not go away. I tried everything I could find on google such as disarming twice in a row, also logging is with master passcode etc. Many google results say to contact the monitoring service (such as Guardian, ADT) however I am not monitored any more.
I know this is a bit off topic for Envisalink but I'm at wits end. Anyone have any ideas?

What model of wireless motion sensor? Do you still have the instructions for it? Or can you find them on the web? Does it have any facility, such as my Honeywell 5800PIR COM does, to let you know it's alive and "seeing" things after a battery replacement?Cheenah wrote:My wireless motion sensor
This place suggests power-cycling the panel (which would require also disconnecting the panel's battery): Why is my 5800 series sensor losing RF supervision?. (Seems to me that shouldn't be necessary, but, I'm often astounded by the crudeness of much alarm system software.)Cheenah wrote:battery died so I replaced it but the zone "10 bat" message on the keypad (Honeywell 6150p) will not go away. Try searching on common terms for Honeywell/Vista/Ademco alarm panels. I know there are forums out there for which this question would be on-topic.Cheenah wrote:I know this is a bit off topic for Envisalink but I'm at wits end.
Re: Help, zone 10 battery
I had a similar problem, what I did was to power down the panel, including the backup battery, wait for 30 minutes (5 minutes should be enough but just to be sure) and then reconnect everything.... Problem gone!
Re: Help, zone 10 battery
The model is Honeywell 5800PIR-RES. Here is a link to the manual, but it is no help: http://site.geoarm.com/pdfs/Honeywell/5 ... -guide.pdf
I'm still getting the low battery message on both of my panels (Vista 20P). I tried powering down the panel, including pulling battery, left it off overnight for complete overkill.
I've put 3 brand new batteries in the sensor now and still can't clear the message.
As I write this I thought of something new to try: pulling power and battery to the panel and ALSO pulling the battery in the sensor. If that doesn't work I'll have to try replacing the sensor, which should be fun

Re: Help, zone 10 battery
why dont you also enrolll the sensor again, try a difference zone number to see what happens
Re: Help, zone 10 battery
Off the wall thought.
Are you sure that zone 10 is the motion detector? Perhaps zn10 may be another wireless sensor and changing the battery in the motion detector has no effect on the fault.
