Question on New Install EnvisaLink 4 w/DSC 1864

I am about to install the EnvisaLink 4 into my DSC 1864 panel.

Simple question... before I do the install am I supposed to disconnect the power and the battery backup?

Officially, yes. Completely power-down the system by removing AC and the backup battery.
