Tried to confirm if this will work or not via a search and can't tell.

I've experimented a bit but want to make sure it has a chance to work before going to far and being forced to reboot the system:

So far I've been able to use command 071 to pass on the command like this
0711*82B // request installer mode for partition 1

I get back a
9229D // need an access code - along with some other responses

I send in a
20012345C // send in the password - I believe I could do it in the above as well and skip this

I get back a
6701CE // not a good password - which is intentional because I need some information before going to the next step

So here are my questions:

If I type in the right password - what response will I get back?

Can I get out of installer mode assuming I type in the right password? If so how do I do that? What needs to be sent in? Just a "#"?

Can i do anything useful in installer mode or is it pretty much locked out - I read a thread on the subject and can't tell if that is the case or not.

I thought I would update this thread as I continue to experiment:

It looks like my system was configured to give 3 tries on the password before you need to wait to try again. In the original note above I didn't place the password on the 0711*81 and I should to eliminate a step.

When the correct password is entered I received a response of 6801CF - this isn't in the documentation (680 is) but I believe it means I've entered installer mode in partition one.

I seem to be able to exit installer mode by entering either just 0711# or maybe just #. I did both but didn't monitored what was acknowledged and why. Still would like to get confirmation that this works in the firmware (being able to exit) and it wasn't a fluke.

Haven't tried to do anything yet in installer mode.

Where do you get the installer manuals?
I currently use envisalink3 (home), considering envisalink4 (for a business location) but a little worried about back end access and programming as well as support...
Any comments appreciated

if you have the EV3/EV4 you basically have 3 ways to gain access to the system:
The keypad (which everyone should have)
The EyezOn website (assuming you signed up and configured the board)
The EV4 API which is called TPI

You can get a copy of the TPI documentation on this board.

Each has a different set of capabilities and is targeted for a different audience. I found the TPI requires someone that likes to develop code or found something that requires this interface (maybe home automation).

This states "You can get a copy of the TPI documentation on this board." Where can i download this. i cannot find it anywhere.

It's the first thing on the board.
