I want to install an EnvisaLink on my Vista panel so I can remotely monitor my security system. My keypad is the 6150, not the 2-line model.

First, I do not have an ethernet cable from my Vista Panel to my router. Can I use a powerline ethernet adapter like the TP Link AV200 to connect the EnvisaLink to my router. That would be super easy for me. My security stem has 1 partition, 14 zones, and no cameras.

To make the programming changes to my Vista panel, can I do that with the 6150 keypad, or from the web browser interface to EnvisaLink?

I have been able to make many programming changes via my 6150 keypad. But when I enter in *29, the response I get is 'EE'. Sure would appreciate help from those who have successfully installed the EnvisaLink.

I recommend you make your life much easier and swap out your 6150 keypad for a 6160. It's well worth the approximate $50 you can buy one for. Then programming is not that difficult.

And yes, others have used power line network adapters with positive results. It's not as reliable as running a network cable but it works.
