Brand new to Envisalink.. questions about DSC system install

I have a current wired DSC Power 832 / pc5010 that has been giving a trouble beep periodically due to not having a phone line connected, so we powered off the system. We moved in months ago and it didnt give the beep for months, then started doing it and we hit the * button to make it stop, but it comes back, usually in the middle of the night.
If I add the Envisalink 4 to this DSC, will I be able to program and turn off that "feature", or does that require something else? Will I be able to do any necessary programming with the Envisalink or do I need a new or different keypad? I assume I can do the wiring myself to just add this simple panel, but I am not sure about any needed programming. Thanks for the help!

I don't own a DSC system but until someone chimes in who does; see if the link below helps you to disable TLM..

Thanks. I get as far into the system as it telling me to "enter programming", and I get from the manual how to enter the sections, but then I have no idea how to "turn off" option 7, etc.
"entering programming, turning off option 7 in section 015, and option 1 in section 380."

From installers enter 015. Then it will show you the bitfield. If 7 is illumimated, press 7 to toggle it off. Then hit * to accept and leave the section.

Well now that I try this, when I enter *, 8, 5555 to enter programming, I get a long beep and all number across the top except the number 2 are lit. I guess it must be locked out with an installer code.

The older 832 panels used "5010" as the installer code, try that. Otherwise you will need to factory reset (blank) the panel.

I misspoke. NO numbers are lit on the panel EXCEPT the number 2. So I reconnect the battery and connect the wall wart. I get a beep. The number 2 is lit and so is ready and trouble. Then I hit *, 8, 5010, and then I get a long beep and only the number 2 is lit. Does that just mean wrong code and that I am locked out?

Yep. Long beep means invalid code.
You will need to get the code from whomever installed your system or do a factory reset which will erase all programming in the panel. Even that may be locked-out too.

We moved in last summer, so I guess whichever alarm company the previous owners had LAST should know the code?

Our DSC system (same components, I think) started doing that--exactly. I ran through the troubleshooting on it and the result was "I've fallen down and can't get up." (Translated: Some internal issue for which there was no specific diagnostic explanation.) I powered it down, then eventually replaced the whole thing with a Honeywell/Vista panel and keypad.
