I don't get email for followers. First an overview of the zone I am trying to follow:

I use PGM keys to fire relays that open and close garage doors from my keypad. (as well as remote controls in cars)
Garage is on Partition 2. Alarm is on, when either PGM key or remote control opens door, the electric garage door light comes on it disables the partition 2 (Disabled by 120V light switching a relay, which does a "key switch" to alarm panel to disable partition 2).
When garage door light light goes off, Keyswtch turns off and part 2 rearms.
If door is still open, partition 2 arms without door. When door closes after partition 2 is armed, that door (zone) is added back into alarm loop.

Opening 1 garage door from the alarm keypad generates the following events in the log.
command output 1 11:38:28 (me using keypad PGM output to open door)
opening by keyswitch 11:28:34 (garage door ligth coming on, triggering keyswitch)
Garage door 1 open (zone 17) 11:28:35 (Door open, zone 17)
special opening 11:28:35 (not sure what this means)

Closing by keyswitch zone 11:36:09 (I think this was the garage door light goign out, triggering keyswitch?)
Special closing 11:36:09 (not sure what this means)
garage door 1 closed 11:39:24 (Garage door closed (by remote garage dore remote, zone 17)

I turned on zone following for zone 17, but I do not receive any email.

Did you turn on notifications of ZoneFollowers in your Contacts->Devices->Modify page? There is a checkbox for ZoneFollowers.

Thanks. That looks like that was it. Once the wife leaves for work I will see if I get a notification.
