For some reason I couldn't find this info anywhere. And I'm sure it would be easy to answer if I had one set up.

I am wanting to potentially connect one to a DSC 1832 and I was just trying to figure out if the notification for an alarm would show the zone that was tripped to cause the alarm.

Absolutely - but you need to define the zones to get the most out of it. I have named the zone with the zone # followed by a description.
