EZR vs CG version

I am about to buy the Envisalink 4 to link with my DSC alarm.

The EVL4 CG version is cheaper than the EZR version.

Is it ok if I go with the CG? not sure what the difference is but I'll be installing it myself

I asked the pretty much the same question quite awhile back. GrandWizard replied;

Just get the EVL4EZ or EVL4. Don't get the CG version as that is for Connect2Go which is meant for professional monitoring companies. We can register CG modules on Eyezon but it's a real pain in the butt.

We have been told not to "convert" units anymore if customers come to tech support accidentally buying modules for Connect2Go instead of EZ units. If you see a C2G module for sale on the Internet it is either used or gray-market as they are only to be sold through dealer networks.

Our version comes with extra hardware and the proper set of installation instrucitons for DIY customers.
