Vista 10P says Field 29 IP/GSM/LRR (required to enable EVL4) is "not used"

Post by treimers95 »

Hi everyone -

Greetings and thanks for a great product!
My physical installation went very well and was easy to do.

I can control the Vista panel through the interface - all is working on that regard.

However, I cannot receive alerts, after following the directions here in the Honeywell Envision PDF.
I think this is the correct link below, to the PDF referenced in the Honeywell Documentation
http://forum.eyez-on.com/FORUM/download/file.php?id=170

I have a VIsta 10P, with the chipset WA10P - 4.12 (2010 Rev 4.12)

I have the installer code and have programmed most of the other fields correctly.

When I hit "#29" to review the settings before changing anything, I get "Not used" and "EE" for values.

When I enter "*29" I do get the " Enable IP/GSP" and 0 for no and 1 for yes.
When try to enter the required "1", I can get to the 1, but the field doesn't automatically clear and move on.

When I hit "*" I get "1-PROG, 2-DIAG, 0=QUIT"
Not sure what to do then.... Hitting "1" just blanks the display.
Hitting * again gets back to Enter * or #

And using #29 to review continues to show Not Used EE.

I don't have any other comms module installed, btw
Just two keypads at 16,17 and the EVL4 at 18

Here's the relevant section of the programming guide for your product for this particular field that I'm following:

"2 - IP/GSM/LRR Setup
If you DO NOT already have a special communications module installed, you must enable support for this in section 29. If you do have a module installed, then skip this step but make sure you have enabled "shadowing" in the previous section.
Go to section 29 by entering *29, and hit 1 to enable LRR support.

Note: On newer panels you may have to use the following sequence: 1*0** rather than just 1 in section *29."

Thanks for any advice anyone can give.

Just follow the instructions, that is what they are their for.

Enter:
*29 1 * 0 **

That's it. Simple

You can't use #29 as 20 years ago Honeywell removed that field from data programming and moved it into interactive.

Hi GrandWizard -

I'm afraid it's still not sending me alerts of any kind -
I think the monitoring company is now getting more alerts than they were, and the EVL4 allows me to arm/disarm,
but I'm not getting alerts.

Is there a significance to using "10" or "11" (or perhaps "01") as the nonzero answer to anything in fields

I don't think any of the below gave me issues when I set them:
The only caveat to that is that field 65 took only the "10" not "110" and field 66 also only took "10", not the 111110 digits.
Looking at the Honeywell Vista 10P programming guide, those are two digit fields, not multidigit.

Of the events I would have had happen, that 65 and 66 is exactly what I'd expect to have had reported
as events, given that I've not had battery problems, AC problems (though I could recreate one of those events)...

Split dual is definitely set to 3, which should allow my monitoring company to receive Alarms, Restore, Cancels, but send ALL to the EVL4
I may get billed if I send full reports to my monitoring company.

0 = Standard/Backup reporting only (all to primary unless fail)
Primary Phone No. Secondary Phone No.
1 = Alarms, Restore, Cancel Others
2 = All except Open/Close, Test Open/Close, Test
3 = Alarms, Restore, Cancel All
4 = All except Open/Close, Test All
5 = All All

Thanks, Tim

4. *48 Report Format: Enter 77 (this is pre-set and cannot be changed on ADT Panels).
5. *49 Split/Dual Reporting: Enter 5 and you will hear 3 beeps.
6. *50 Burglary Dialer Delay: Enter 0 and you will hear 3 beeps.
7. *54 Dynamic Signalling Delay: Set to 0 and you will hear 3 beeps.
8. *55 Dynamic Signalling Priority: Set to 1 and you will hear 3 beeps.
9. *59 Exit Error Alarm Report Code: Set to 0 and you will hear 3 beeps.
10. *60 Trouble Report Code: Enter 10 and you will hear 3 beeps.
11. *62 AC Loss Report Code: Enter 10 and you will hear 3 beeps.
12. *63 Low Battery Report Code: Enter 10 and you will hear 3 beeps.
13. *64 Test Report Code: Enter 10 and you will hear 3 beeps.
14. *65 Open Report Code: Enter 110 and you will hear 3 beeps.
15. *66 Arm Away/Stay Report Code: Enter 111100 and you will hear 3 beeps.
16. *67 RF Transmitter Low Battery Report Code: Enter 10 and you will hear 3 beeps.

Submit a tech support request. We need to see the telemetry from your unit to see if there is a programming problem or something else.

So done, GrandWizard -

See ticket #21405
Let me know if there are some tests you want me to run to generate alerts, although I believe you should be seeing our daily arm/disarm.

Thanks, Tim
