Bell/Virgin Blocking All Eyezon Alerts

Bell Mobility and their reseller, Virgin Mobile, are blocking all SMS alerts for our servers via their email-to-SMS gateway.

As with other carriers like Telus, Verizon, and Rogers, it took Eyezon customers complaining to them to fix the problem. In the case of Telus actual Telus employees, who were also Eyezon users, came to our aid to stop the blocking internally.

This is a totally anti-competitive practice and if you are affected you should complain. If any of our wonderful users is a Bell or Virgin employee, maybe you can help stop the blockade. You can email support@eyezon.com if you want to help.

Until they stop this blocking, there are no SMS alerts available to Bell and Virgin Mobile users. Use the push notifications in the Eyezon apps instead.

Both for on the Apple Store and the Google Play Store the app is called Eyezon Mobile

We've received numerous reports that Bell has stopped blocking our traffic for their own and Virgin subscribers.

Thanks to all of our customers who complained about this.

I guess it was a little too soon to announce victory. Bell is once again blocking all of our traffic.

One of our customers said you need to call "Bell Specialty Technical Assistance" and tell them your email-to-SMS traffic is being blocked from Eyezon.com . Tell them it was fixed on Friday the 8th but has started being blocked again. Their servers believe the messages are SPAM so they block them.

So every person has to call and get this fixed on their own for their individual account?

There is no way for EyezOn to get on a Bell/Virgin/Telus/Rogers white-list so this doesn't keep happening?

Thanks

Thanks to intervention from officials with the OPP, Bell has now stopped blocking all Envisalerts traffic. Thanks to everyone else who attempted to get this stopped, it is appreciated.

An email from a Bell product manager last night apologized for the misunderstanding.
