Installing second EnvisaLink in home with legacy alarm

We had an awesome EnvisaLink EVL-4 experience when we moved into a home with a Vista 21p hardwired alarm system.
Now we have a home with a legacy alarm system - a DMP XR20 panel. (https://buy.dmp.com/dmp/products/documents/LT-0624.pdf)
I'm relatively handy with electronics (and have a digital multimeter, at least!) I was wondering if anyone could tell me generally what's involved with trying to get back to the EnvisaLink system we love.
When I looked at the EVL-4 on Amazon it "suggests" a bundle with a Honeywell Vista 20p and a Honeywell 6160 panel. That sounded pretty good...
I'm not asking for 100% guarantees but would the task generally be:
0. Unplug system and battery.
1. Replace XR20 Panel with Vista 20p Panel by unscrewing each sensor and transferring it from the old panel to the new panel carefully and methodically using the 20p wiring diagram.
2. Hooking up the Bell, AC, Battery using the 20p wiring diagram.
3. Throwing out the old keypads and replacing them with the 6160 panels and rewiring using the 20p wiring diagram.
4. Hooking up EVL-4 as before.
Is there any chance of incompatibilities and what should I look for when comparing manuals? It's just door sensors, garage door sensors, and wired motion sensors.
Thanks!
