Is there a way to establish a text message account with EyezON either through my Mobile App or Online Acct. with a phone number only?

I have a business account for my phone lines with Comcast. I've tried the pre-established Comcast address (e.g. phone#@comcastpcs.textmsg.com) to forward alert message without success.

I also use a service call Zipwhip (see service capabilities on their website). They provide text message capabilities to my Desktop computers screen at my business. The user sends a text message to our Comcast business phone number. Zipwhip application takes the text message, submits it to our staff as an onscreen message.

Ideally EyesOn alert come to my staff at their desktop computers, in the same way we now receive clients text. Neither Zipwhip or Comcast have email-to-SMS gateway capabilities. They simply utilize the business phone number.

Do you feel that this is a bit of an abandoned project?
Seems like it's just being kept on life support. Poor responses. Antiquated coding etc with very few updates.

It kind of upsets me as it was recommended to me by a security specialist and I find it seriously lacking. They could have a phenomenal product if they created a native application instead of this strange build which looks like it was created through Adobe's phonegap. Eyez-on, please have a look at AJAX for some app ideas.

I wonder how long it'll take for any representative from Eyez-On to respond?

Create New Contact on the web interface ? Looks like Comcast is in the drop down list.

Hi Jeff,

Have tried utilizing the Comcast address posted in Eyezon, no luck. All of my phone numbers are supported by Comcast, however they don't have a Text Message via an SMS gateway address attached to them.

When contacting Comcast Customer & Technical Support, no one at Comcast (for landline business phone numbers) seems to have any clue about a format for email to SMS.

Ex: Phone number@xxx.xxx.xxx

I'm continuing to look for a solution which can be implemented. If anyone finds a path forward, please reply!

Just type the 10 numbers of the phone number in that block not the @ part
It does that for you by picking the correct drop down

Jeff,

The EyezOn website automatically assigns a carrier. Current default is ACS Alaska. The remaining carriers are listed in Alphabetical order. Note: There is no opportunity to list "None" in the drop down list.

Unless I'm missing something, there's no simple way to input a ten (10) digit number as a stand alone SMS text number without EyesOn website assigning a carrier.

Because this is a free service we have to use your carrier's email-to-SMS gateway. Comcast has one and it is listed, although these gateway addresses are supplied by our users so they have not been vetted by us or our service partners.

For EyezOn or other users searching for a global list of email to SMS gateway addresses & carriers, please see the attached link below.
