Keypad frozen after alarm event vista20p evl4

After an alarm event (night/instant accidental alarm), I put in my code on the keypad or eyezon app to stop the alarm. The keypad then shows the alarm event and which zone caused the alarm.
The problem is that when I go to put in my code on the keypad two more times to clear the past alarm, it simply won't clear. Usually I can go into eyezon and clear it from there, but sometimes even that won't work and the physical keypad just beeps at me oddly. I eventually have to cut power and disconnect backup battery to clear the past alarm.
