Hi to all,

After numerous tries, I still cannot get my EVL4 module online.
I change my IP to a static DHCP lease.
Also changed my DNS to Google public DNS (8.8.8.8)

The module still resolves to bogus server ie. 255.63.255.255(E)

In my router log, i get :

udp (hidden):4185 8.8.8.8:53 ASSURED

That server IP address is obviously not real and the (E) means the Envisalink cannot communicate with the DNS server. I suspect you have a firewall rule blocking the DNS port or maybe just UDP on that port.

Still confused about why I would get and "ASSURED" connection.

Also is this why the module continuously reboots itself ? I see the Leds like the module is rebooting every 15seconds

How old is your firmware? A long time ago the Envisalink would reboot everytime it was given an new server IP. So if it is old firmware, yes, that would explain the reboots.

Is there any possibility to manually upgrade it ?
The DNS seems to pass in my router logs but module reboots itself

No matter what I do, seems like it resolve whatever it is asking to 255.63.255.247
