I recently installed the Envisalink 3 module to my PC1832 DSC system. Its been working fairly well.

Althought lately there are days where I just bombarded with the "Security Event: Network Supervision Restore" or "Security Event: Network Supervision Fault" emails.

I know its not my ISP/Cablemodem because I work from home and on an IP phone fairly heavily and dont notice any issues. I also have logs of my cable modem to show when it resets or loses connectivity and dont see that.

Is this an issue on the Envisalink side (like me not being able to talk to the Envisalink server cause maybe the route has an issue or the Envisalink server is down)?

Just to further explain. I get the fault email, and then almost always within 30secs or so I get the restore email. Here is an example, this one took slightly longer.

Network supervision reports are solely based on the module's ability to communicate with the server. An outage doesn't necessarily mean your Internet connection is out, it just means something is preventing the module from communicating.

We've seen everything from ISP throttling of UDP traffic, to flakey switches/routes, to poorly configured DNS servers, as well as other local issues.
