Are there unboxing videos for the UNO products? In particular I'm not sure if the wiring harness+connector shown in https://www.eyezon.com/INSTALLATION_INS ... 0RF_EZ.pdf is included with that UNO keypad or not? I have an old Ademco (Vista) keypad at the location I'd like to replace with this, so the harness connector is probably different. I'm also curious what exactly comes with the UNO and UNO5108 as I'd like to make sure I would have everything I need before trying to drop in replace a Vista 10SE.

For the UNO you get a hardware pack which includes 16 EOL resistors, a 1K for the BELL, and a 2.2K for a fire zone. You also get your battery cable and mounting standoffs for DSC "cans". If you have a VISTA can then you will have to drill holes for the UNO or buy a compatible "can".

For the UNO5500 you get mounting screws and yes, you get the wire harness but it may differ from what is shown there as the new one has 5 wires to support the onboard zone.

For the UNO5108, you get a hardware pack of 8 EOL (5.6K) resistors, three standoffs, and the board.

I suspect all you will need for your conversion is to modify your can.

Also, does the UNO work if it never has wide internet access but is only contained on my local lan for home assistant? The manual says it must first be activated on the eyezon website, but is that absolutely necessary? I'd like to know how completely offline it can be and still work.

The 5th wire is for a local zone like a door contact that is wired from the keypad to the door. This is a common arrangement.

The UNO is an Internet connected panel. Everything is done through the cloud service so yes, it must have Internet access and an Envisalerts account.

The Envisalink requires Internet access for firmware updates only. You will need to do this at least once and then you could move it to a place with no Internet access.

Just want to be sure: is the UNO different than Envisalink when it comes to not having internet access? Will the UNO fail to work without internet? Search also found this, is it wrong?

NO INTERNET?

While UNO is designed to be internet or cellular connected, once programmed it can be used without any connection for local security. Initial programming and firmware updates require an Internet or celluar connection.

You can't program the UNO without Internet and you can't get firmware updates which are almost monthly. So without Internet access it is quite limited. Are you sure you can't get Internet access to your home?

For security I'd prefer not to have a device on the internet at all times and not dependent on the internet. Can't the UNO be programmed through its local 192.168.1.* interface, or even its keypad? Does it becomes e-waste if the "cloud" website disappears in the future and there is no way to program it?

No, sorry, it is a cloud connected security system. We've been providing service for almost 20 years now, we're not going away any time soon.

For what its worth, we work closely with the Home Assistant developer(s) and work together to provide new features to them first. The UNO with Home Assistant is a great combo, I have it in my home.
