Keep Alive Function?

Post by tkreyche »

I'm a newbee - just ordered but haven't received my EVL-3.

Is there any option for a keep alive function from a central web site? The unit would send regular status messages, and if they stopped for some lenght you would receive a message/call/etc.

This is an obvious requirement if you have an internet connection that can easily be cut, such as a coax cable coming into your house that is highly exposed and easily cut by a burglar.

thanks, Tom

Yes, this is called network supervision and it is a free feature of the ESP.

Thanks for the quick response - I must be missing something - where are the feature lists?

The feature list is on the order page but I admit it isn't complete. Network supervision isn't listed there.

Have a look at this forum. Everything the module does is discussed here, sometimes at length, sometimes too long. The module pretty much does everything our customers ask it to do but at the same time there is a lengthy feature request list that still needs to be knocked off. We, along with our Envisacor partners, try to continually improve the product offering.
