Question about the EnvisaLink 3 and Local only access.

Hi,

I had one objective in mind when I found out about Envisalink- arm and disarm my Alarm from my phone/iPad when I am at home or about to leave home or coming back home. I don't have a need or requirement to be able to do this from the internet through the portal. I actually prefer not to have any third party access my alarm panel simply for security reasons. Can the Envisalink be used in this manner? Is there a local only mode that does not require activation and a login to the portal ? I understand this somewhat defeats the purpose of it, but my objective is really simple, be able to arm / disarm the alarm from anywhere in the house.

Yep, there's a local web server embedded in it. You can arm/disarm and view the status of your system's zones and partitions.

Thanks! so I can use it out of the box without activation ? Or is activatoin required regardless of the local/internet use?
