New Android app published

Post by webhiker »

I'd appreciate any testers as I work through the pain of a first release.

I'm working on lots of notification/alert functionality next, so stay tuned.

I was hoping for an app like this that wasn't specific to DSC Panels!

Downloaded now and will test it out. I have a vista 20p.

Unfortunately I don't have a Vista to test against.
I'd be happy to try and add support if you can provide feedback.
If you send me the key codes for Arm, Disarm etc I will add in a Preference option to allow selection of system (DSC,Vista etc)

I will help test out once I get my Vista 20P set up and running, should be in a few days. Warning though, not sure just how much help I may be, this was my first alarm ever installed, and I am still trying to learn it all as I go!

Can't connect to the 3DS. I've triple-checked the ip address, port, and password, but the log simply says it's trying to connect and times out after a few seconds reporting "logged out" which I assume is an authentication issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Are there any directions on how to set up the app? It is definitely not user friendly from what I see, especially being new to something like this.

I assume the app author knows that there is no TPI for Vista at the moment...

I have vista 20P. Can some one let me know what should I put in IP address and port no? Is there any way I can know what is the IP address and port no for my EVL3 module?

Unfortunately the author (me) has not access to any Vista systems, and is blissfully unaware of any special Vista functions (or lackthereof).

If anyone wants to make one available to me (i.e. send me your IP & creds) temporarily I'd be happy to debug through and get as uch of the app working as I can.
